美國華人政治聯盟宣佈背書候選人名單 【環球東方 盧威 馮元興報道】5月9日，美國華人政治聯盟(原美國越柬寮華人政治聨盟）舉行記者招待會，宣佈6月聯邦及加州地方政府公職初選的背書候選人名單。美國華人政治聯盟主席莊春惠，創會主席蔡松芳，名譽主席葉安利，史振發，丁言愉及理事們出席了此次記者會。 … 加州六月期中選舉角逐公職的參選人眾多，預計將是一場激烈的競爭，選舉盛況可期，選民投票率也相對的會提高。美國華人政治聯盟主席莊春惠表示，在過去數月已經開始與多位參選人見面並瞭解他們的政見，在經過理事會討論後大家投票才決定支持候選人。 美國華人政治聯盟主席莊春惠表示，今年最受矚目的就是加州州長職位選舉，根據加州州務卿辦公室和洛杉磯縣選務處表示，確定已經有 12 位登記參選州長，其中包括現任加州財務長江俊輝是唯一的華裔候選人，他在州府的工作歷練，無疑是最佳人選，政治聯盟已宣佈全力支持他參選，並於去年底為他公開舉辦了籌款會。此次州長選舉將會是他的背水一戰，他必須面對民主黨內的現任副州長紐森和洛杉磯前市長維拉艾構沙兩位強悍的對手，希望選民全力支持。 另外，在聯邦眾議員選舉中以39區的選情最為激烈，由於現任眾議員 Ed Roye 宣佈將於 任滿後退休, 角逐空缺席位的候選人多達17位，其中三位候選人共和黨籍的夏伯樂，金映玉及民主黨人士李鶴彰都是聯盟有待決定的支持對象。在華人社區享有盛譽的現任聯邦眾議員趙美心 Judy Chu爭取連任27區聯邦眾議員，其席位定當垂手可得。 加州參議員22選區中，四位候選人均為民主黨，其中以伍國慶呼聲最高。至於加州眾議員49區現任眾議員周本立也爭取連任，他應該亦可以輕易過關。 華人政治聯盟這次背書人選中有新面孔出現，爾灣市議員候選人孫立清是來自中國大陸移民，他首度參加美國地方政府公職競選。孫立清職業是工程師，平時熱心公益，關心社區，參與政治聯盟多年，如今出馬角逐爾灣市市議員，值得我們華人鼓舞人心。 參選洛杉磯高等法院法官的 Javier Perez 有 27 年 District Attorney 經驗; Armando Duron 是專業律師有專業法律知識和經驗;洛杉磯縣評估委員 Jeffrey Prang 競選連任，他強調自己在任內已經成功的建立誠信，效率和公平，他補充說在未來的願景是讓洛杉磯 縣的評估辦公室成為全國首要的資產評估機構。 沈家麒競選加州29區參議員，79年加入美國海軍陸戰隊，退役後進修獲得法學博士學位，911 後他再次自願加入加州國民警衛後備隊，非常瞭解社區問題的存在性，他詳細規劃了如何解決如犯罪，教育，醫療保健，老年人家居等。 美國華人政治聯盟名譽主席丁言愉表示: 聯盟成立至今已為百多名華裔或關注華裔居民 的選舉候選人背書，該會長期支持的候選人都是非常優秀的人選。聯盟支持並鼓勵華裔參 與政治和關心政情，不論候選人代表民主黨或共和黨，只要候選人是華人或關心華裔需要 的外族裔候選人，該會都會背書支持。該聯盟並同時呼籲華人選民踴躍投票，透過參與選 舉表達政治意見。 丁言愉指出，『美國華人政治聯盟』不只是背書候選人，在後續的競選過程中，還會召集 義工為該候選人打電話催票。透過拉票活動的互動溝通，希望藉此機會鼓勵華 人選民不 要放棄自己在美國應有的權利和義務，積極參政、關心選舉和政情，以踴躍投票的舉動 「用選票說話」。當前聖蓋博谷地區不少城市的亞裔居民已過半數， 但是在這些社區的 市議會和學區裡的民選代表中，亞裔代表還是少數。該會希望透過這次地方城市，加州及 聯邦政府選舉，改變華人議政的版圖，如果華人投票率佔多數的話， 未來也將會有更多 的候選人聆聽華人的聲音。 已經成立 20 […]
